
ABOUT ORIT
Clinical Child Psychology
Orit has been working with young children and their parents for over 25 years in a multidisciplinary Mental Health Unit for 0-12 year olds at the Prince of Wales Hospital, as well as in her Child Psychology private practice in Bondi Junction. She has gained experience working with everything from normal developmental issues like Terrible Twos/tantrums through to severe and complex mental health difficulties in Primary school aged children.
Through this experience, Orit has added to her training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and become a warm and experienced professional with a passion for helping young children and parents. Orit offers comprehensive assessments and individualised treatment programs, using practical strategies to help the families that she sees. Orit has a unique set of skills, allowing specialisation with the preschool and primary school age group.
Within the community, Orit has run numerous workshops for preschool parents and teachers- titled “Terrible Twos: Managing 2-5 Year Old Tantrums”. She has presented at several Child Mental Health Conferences, and has given Tertiary education lectures in rural hospital settings on Primary School Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, including childhood Anxiety disorders and Oppositional Defiant disorders.
Orit is a long-standing member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), College of Clinical Psychologists (Child Interest), and the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi).

Her Qualifications include;

Bachelor of Psychology (Science) BScPsych with First Class Honours, UNSW

Masters in Clinical Psychology (MAPS), USyd Child Focus
Orit is fully registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and is also a recognised practitioner with Medicare and Private Health Insurance companies.
Orit is a Board Approved Supervisor, and is available for supervision of Psychologists/Clinical Psychologists looking to improve their child CBT skills, as well as for training Registrar Psychologists (both for individual and peer group supervision).
Individualised community support programs can also be offered.
